The River inspired by Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha

The River

The River is Everywhere...
Only the Present exists,
Not the Shadows of the Past
Nor the Shadows of the Future...

 The Snowman's Blanket

I know it is not mine, but it is what I see from my snowman blanket

Tobacco and tall and almost pure and straight

Except for the furrowed arching branches reaching towards my coffee cup

They hurricane dance a lost novel without a heroine.

The Bazooka Pink Carnation

My petticoat meringue ruffles clumps tight,
Unfolding unpretentious chiming notes.
I'm a cute regular girl, not for the right-wing McMansion or the liberal elite
A supermarket lipstick cutie, healthy as a sunset.
"Take me on a date, I last long after the other flowers have wilted."
A moombeam-struck teenager or a sequined gal in her prime,
Don't forget the rainbows, strawberries, and me, the pink carnation!

Z

Where the past and present collide,
Elegant and quick like you.
Take Me
The caretaker is along for the ride
Happiness ...

Tranie

You rusty all-American smoker
A lifer with a view
You're there for me
Still...You shine and soar!

Beamer

Smooth class speeds
Unattainable quest for Kool
Decades of Your Esteem
Will I ever be worthy?
